Over the last five years, I’ve focused on creating the career I want for myself. During this journey, I have been grateful to find people who understand me, inspire me, motivate me, enlighten me, make me cry, and make me believe. Perhaps one day I’ll get to meet them.
At the beginning of my journey, I wanted to make a career change. I was hungry for understanding, direction and inspiration. I fed myself through learning – I read books, participated in webinars, watched TV shows and devoured blog posts. I am so grateful to the folks who facilitated my growth – Oprah Winfrey, Wayne Dyer, Jack Canfield, Deepak Chopra, Brené Brown and many more.
Find Your Sources of Inspiration
When you’re looking to create change in your life, it’s important to have a support system – those who’ve been there, done that and are willing to share their knowledge and love.
You can find them, and it’s worth taking the time to do so. Search online for the topics, people, challenges and dreams that interest you. I’d be willing to bet that enlightening, inspiring information will appear in the search results.
Take some time to sort through the sites that most interest you, and follow their blogs. Take their free classes and read their books.
These experiences and connections can be life changing and course setting. Find your sources of positive energy and learn from them.
